I am delurking to finally express my undying love for your blog. I am not pregnant, I am not currently trying to get pregnant, hell I'm not even married but I found your blog as a friend link on a design blog I read and I was instantly addicted. I actually canceled a date to stay home and read old posts after I first discovered you (probably not gonna help on the marriage/kiddos front). The fact that you understand the brilliance of G&O's "Pregnant Women Are Smug" while carrying not one but two bundles of joy makes you my freakin' hero. My question is do you get to be doubly smug?
Love it! Also, delurking! Congratulations on your pregnancy. How exciting! I don't know if you've seen When In Rome with Kristen Bell, but the dark-headed girl is her assistant/best friend in the movie and ALL I could think about throughout the entire movie was this song. I found it when I was pregnant and thought it was genius!!! Best of luck for a healthy, happy nine months!! :)
Is that a 30 Roc reference? I love it. "it's funny because it's true". I haven't said congrats yet on your pregnancy yet, so big congrats. I am excited to hear about the world of twins through your eyes.
Ha! I posted that video on my blog at the beginning of our infertility stuff and my friends and family didn't think it was funny. They must all be stupid because that his hilarious!
Awesome. I love it! We kept our baby's name a secret until birth too (I once had a long rant with friends about another friend who did that several years ago...oh well). JP
I am SO guilty of saying my life had no meaning until I became pregnant. Mother Earth. These lyrics are great - wish I'd discovered during my own infertility struggle but it's even funnier post-mommyhood I think - you're absolutely right, it's funny because it really is true! xox

This is by far my favorite G&O song EVER. I watch it over and over. Hilarious.
That's one of my fav songs...cracks me up!
Well said! I love the little elfin singer with dark hair; want to put her in my pocket.
Heh heh - loved that song before I got knocked up and might love it even more now. Aren't they great!?
Thank you for posting this! After finding out so many people are pregnant this week and having my own cycle go bust, I need a laugh.

Do I love you even more now that I know you enjoy the Garfunkel and Oates? Yes. Yes I do.

Such a funny video. I definitely needed that after bust cycle number 847 or so... lol. Congrats on being double stuffed with smugness. : )

Bahahahahaha, you take me to the best places.
So friggin hilarious, especially since we didn't tell anyone the names of our twins until they were born :/
