No! Sleep! Till Brooklyn!

No, I'm not heading for the New York hills.

It's just that functioning on two hours of sleep makes me feel particularly beastie.

Especially since I gave my coffee pot the axe during fertility treatments. Coke Vanilla Zero just doesn't pack the same punch as a full 10 cup pot of coffee, you know? I like to consume my caffeine in amounts that make me feel downright manic.

It turns out the Coke Vanilla Zero is kind of a pussy in the caffeine department.

Olivia is a good baby. Really, she is. She smells of delicious baby, and she only cries when she needs something - diaper change, blanket, food. We've had exactly three bouts of inconsolable crying, and they were all after days when we visited with a lot of people, and I suspect she was overstimulated and just pissed off that she didn't get to sleep her full 20 hours.

Usually she sleeps about 3 hours at night before waking up poopy and wanting to eat (and poop again. My girl's a pooper). But every couple of nights, we have a situation where she just wakes up every hour wanting a snickety snack. And since I can't shove Oreos down her throat, which is how I deal with my need for a snickety snack, I am forced to prepare bottle after bottle of formula so that she can eat one ounce and then commence project Snoozefest.

(Speaking of formula...who are the assholes who determine the price of formula? Holy hot damn! It's like they actually want you to have to work the corner just to feed your baby!)

Last night, Olivia decided to save her elusive QUIET! ALERT! PRIME SOCIALIZATION! IF YOU IGNORE YOUR BABY SHE WILL HATE YOU FOREVER! period for 1 a.m. until about 3:30.
I mean, awake.
Wiiiide awake.
Until 3:30 in the morning.
Waiting for entertainment.

There are only so many rounds of jazz hands that you can do at that time of night before you start to hallucinate. It is very possible that I sang a Britney Spears song to my daughter last night in a feeble attempt to get her to doze off. But goddamn Britney with her peppy tunes did nothing to make Olivia drowsy. And as a matter of fact, I think she was trying to do the Ooops I Did It Again dance at one point but only succeeded in clawing a giant crater in her cheek.

(Clearly, she needs dance lessons ASAP)

The main problem we are having is that it looks like Olivia scraped her teeny adorable little ass across some gravel. So after a diaper change and the horrible bloody murder screaming that follows, she is not so much in the mood for sleep.

Her diaper rash got better, then way worse - like, raw and shiny and sad sad sad. One of my friends pointed out that the Nystatin ointment that the pediatrician prescribed might be making it worse.

Nice. I was smearing creamy skin-eating acid on my daughter's adorable ass.

So we've laid off the Nystatin, and I've been keeping her diaper free as much as possible. I've noticed a difference, but it is slow going. Not to mention that my baby lurves her a swaddle, so getting her to sleep diaperless with just a cover on top is like trying to kill her. Or so you'd think.

As far as ointments, we've tried Pinxav, but it doesn't stick to the raw skin, and I think the thickness is just too much for her right now. Right now she's sporting A&D. I'm thinking about buying some Triple Paste because I've heard it is awesome.

Dear internets: what advice do you have for diaper rash?
The sooner the diaper rash is better, the sooner I will be back out in the general public encountering morons who will provide me with many stories with which to entertain you.
Help me help you, people.

We had the same problem with Nystatin when our second had a bad rash. You could try plain vaseline and we tried the Beudreux (sp?) Butt paste and it was pretty good. Our second was also a pooper and would wake up poopy and then poop immediately following a bottle in the early weeks... it will pass... hers did. Good luck! Enjoy these moments as she's only this little for so long even if she is requesting entertainment in those early hours. The key is to make sure that you don't give too much entertainment to make it worth her while to be awake though or she'll think that it really is a great time to be up.

Boudreaux's Butt Paste. It is God's gift to mothers with diaper rash babies everywhere! It looks icky and sticky but boy does it clear up a red ass in no time flat! Good luck and Olivia is beautiful!!!

Vaseline or Bag Balm works the best for my daughter. Bag Balm is just a thicker vaseline. It puts a barrier against her skin and the poopies and pee and makes it so much better. As for the assholes who charge $5000.00 for a can of formula- go to their websites and sign up for coupons. You can usually get 1-2 coupons a month and they range from $5-$10 off!!

I can't give you any advice on the diaper rash really, I was quite lucky with that. But I do wanna tell you that if you don't have one already get a Bj's membership - you know the club store not some nasty sex-shop! The diapers alone will save you $100's - especially if she's a pooper, mine were - they were the all in the one-feeding-in-two-feedings-out club. Oh and they have formula too which will save you a pretty penny.

Hope her bum gets better soon! another Oh - they have diaper rash creams too.

Hi, I don't know if what I am about to say will be any use as I live in New Zealand and what we used to clear up our daughter's nappy rash may not be under the same name in the States.

Anyway both our daughters actually got hideously red sore and bleedy rashes, it made me so sad to see as it looked so painful. Like you we tried lots of different things: nappy off time, using facecloths and plain water to clean up at nappy change time, zinc and castor oil cream (was useless, seems to be good only when there isn't a rash as a preventative measure), Bepanthen cream (again not much help). Until the midwife had a look and said it's fungal so try Daktozin cream. This was fantastic and cleared it up within days. It has Miconazole (antifungal) as the active ingredient so if you have concerns about that as you did with Nystatin, maybe you should talk to your midwife first. The other benefit is it is really thick zinc based so is a great barrier for the skin.

The other piece of advice which you have probably been told about is to look at your diet, avoid citrus, tomato based sauces, cucumber and anything that is acidic so as to reduce the acidity of Olivia's urine.

I hope it all clears up soon, I felt so bad when it was happening to my babies.

All the best.

Lisa.

Love your blog!! I have no children and no experience with changing diapers, BUT I do have lots of well intentioned friends that have been giving us advice about our baby due in July (YAY!!). One friend told us that to get rid of diaper rash, just brown a little flour in a frying pan and sprinkle that on the diaper rash. Strange?!?! Anyway, just throught I would pass that along. And if you do decide to test out that little trick, please blog about it so I will know if it works before I'm left wondering how to cure a nasty case of diaper rash myself! Good luck!

All three of my children were allergic to citric acid. It's in just about every damn food out there. As long as they were in diapers it looked like they had chemical burns. Their father would feed them things and not check the labels then send them home to me.

These things did help.

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste
Lanolin- Like the breastfeeding nipple ointment.

Triple paste is good stuff, and once you get the rash on the mend, bag balm is great shit! I used that stuff all through Noahs diaper period. Good good good.

And air does the tushy good. When his bum was raw and blood, I used to let Noah lay around naked for as much of the day as possible, I would just spread a sheet on top of a plastic tarp. He loved it and the tarp kept the rugs from getting ruined. Of course the weather was a bit warmer....so that helped.

Elizabeth had bad diaper rash until I switched to cloth diapers. Before that, the Aveeno diaper rash cream was my favorite one. I've also used lanolin.

I don't know if I'm commented before but leave it to me to come out of the woodwork over diaper rash :)

I have two recommendations: Aquaphor and if that doesn't work try Boudreaux's Butt Paste. If the Aquaphor doesn't help with the diaper rash it will end up paying for itself when you need to treat wind chapped cheeks or even your own dried out hands from too many hand washings or the cold weather.

Shannon said...

I've heard great things about the triple-paste. What worked for us was the Aquaphor by Eucerin. It's like vasaline with healing properties. You can also use it on chapped cheeks and many other things.

A healthy pooper is a great kids I say, just as long as they keep it in the diapers...not on me but I am selfish that way.
I have had some nasty rashes and I do mean beyond the Janet Jackson "Nasty". I looked like chunks of skin were missing. First get her bum dry, corn starch-cheap and easy to get (also very helpful for when they have the runs-so it doesn't "run" on you) then Desitin the original not the "creamy" that shit don't stick to anything. It has the most amount of zinc in it. That's what your looking for. Yes the cupcake won't smell like cupcakes for a bit BUT she will have a healed up tushy. Budros Butt Balm is fun to say but Desitin has more zinc and it's cheaper.
Good luck my dear

I'll agree on the Boudreaux's Butt Paste. My son was on something prescribed from the Dr. but it made it worse. The Boudreaux butt paste was the best thing ever. It is really goopy and thick, but it does work.

well, when my 3 month old twin boy had the rash,it wasn't going away.I tried everything sudocream, butt paste,Vaseline.even tried diaper off but soaking his bum in baking soda and putting mustard oil on the rash did the trick.but you should know,it was as a last resort and was suggested by my grandma.whom I normally don't listen too because apparently too much care makes sissy babies:P
Also am totally with you on formula...expensive.....try calling companies for coupons and stuff, they do send.my boys were given GoodStart in the hospital which I felt was good enough for a hospital!!!!!!!so i continued that.Little that I know, all formulas are the same.Even generic brand from Walmart. But am a wuss, still giving Goodstart :s

Love you blog! I'm not sure if it had anything to do with it, but I always used Huggies Natural Wipes in fragrance free and my kids didn't get diaper rash. Luckily, that particular product was always stocked at Costco, so it didn't cost and arm and a leg...

We just used A&D, Desitin, and Butt Paste religiously, and it eventually went away. It lasted a long time, but we must have done a good job at kicking it's butt (pun intended, ha ha ha) because it's never been back.

Stacy Woodruff said...

Boudreaux’s Butt Paste is great stuff. It really does work. Also, the cornstarch is good, too. Another thing is to stay away from wet wipes for a while. Use Viva paper towels and plain water, or after it starts to heal up some, 5:1 diluted white vinegar and water with the Viva towels. And lots of naked time. That really does make the biggest difference.

Rotten said...

I agree with those who recommended Butt Paste. My mother friends swear by it and I have some on hand for our little girl's toosh as well.

I hear the other term for formula is "liquid gold." I didn't understand why either until I bought some for a friend. WOW! And I am sure it kills you when you have left overs.

It sounds like despite the lack of sleep and diaper fun, you are enjoying every minute of your little girl. I can't wait!!

Expat Barbie said...

keep her diaper free as much as you can... and spread aquaphor on her AFTER drying her tush. also, steer clear of wipes (even the ones for sensitive skin) and just use cotton and warm water. yeah, it's a pain in the ass (ha ha) but it helps.

Anonymous said...

an old timers advice here (my kids are 18 and 16; that's YEARS NOT MONTHS). i used something called butt balm to clear up the nasty rash and then did maintenance with regular desitin to keep it away. acidity really plays a part in them developing it so watch the foods later on. olivia is a doll! enjoy it goes fast and then you're dealing with teen crap which is way harder than baby crap.

Aquaphor. It also works for cradle cap, baby acne, eczema and just about anything else skin related. Its FABULOUS. Greasy and gross, but protects and absorbs quick, just leaving a nice layer. Good luck!

Ok here's a question, is she poopie as in diarria poopie? My last baby (11 years ago) had very watery poopie so that it caused him to get a really bad rash, because he was going so much I couldn't keep him dry. All my kids (3) were formula babies, my girls tolerated the powdered mix with water similac w/iron with no problems, my son however did not, and after the Dr trying a million different formulas with no results, kept telling me to try distilled water, boiled water, water 10 different ways to mix the formula... nothing worked, we ended up going somewhere for some reason (11 years ago... I don't remember) but we ended up buying the ready to feed formula and after a week on that everything cleared up... the Dr said that it shouldn't make a difference but it did. So for his whole first year, he was Mr. Expensive and had to have the ready to feed formula. Never had the problem again... just a shot in the dark for anyone having this problem...

I love reading your blog and have since you were writing for Redbook.

Oh and as far as breast feeding goes, it's a personal choice, but as far as the health of your sweet baby girl... All of my kids were formula babies and were very healthy, it seemed they had way less colds, ear infections, etc... than my friends kids who were breast fed... I have a 20yo, 18yo and 11yo and they were very healthy babies (even after starting daycare), children and now 2 of them adults...

Hope that helps ; )

I must have the baby who hated the Butt Paste. Made it even worse. the first 6 weeks we stopped using wipes and that helped a little. Lots of air and like battynurse said, coat her up in olive oil. Plus she'll smell like you want to saute her with some garlic and onions!

Good luck with it

Hi, frequent lurker here. Just wanted to put in my two cents about the diaper rash. My DD didn't tolerate the nystatin cream either, made the rash worse, so we went to jock itch cream (tanactin and or Lotrimin). If this is truely a yeast infection, then regular diaper cream wont take care of it. The jock itch cream takes care of the yeast. With that I would also use the Aquaphore healing cream. Hope this helps! Good Luck.

We use cloth diapers at home and Seventh Generation (non-bleached and fragrance free) diapers (and wipes) the rest of the time. If I even think about putting Ava in any other brand we have diaper rash within seconds.

We almost never have rash these days (please G-d let the potty training happen soon) but when we do I use the Aveeno diaper cream with the butt paste as a backup.

My mom is a pediatric nurse and swears by Aquaphor Healing Ointment. It will not only soothe the rashy skin, but block out additional moisture. She said they use it in the Dr.'s office on all the diaper rashes they see and it works wonders. Hope that helps!

areyoukiddingme said...

We used A&D almost exclusively, but if that wasn't clearing it up fast enough, we'd switch up with some Desitin (A&D = barrier, Desitin = zinc = drying agent). That would take care of any rash.

Boudreaux's Butt Paste is the way to go. When my daughter's rash would really get bad, we'd make our own paste using the Boudreaux's and cornstarch. That worked wonders!

Okay, I started with a toddler (as opposed to a baby) so perhaps the rules are different, but here's what I used . . . Butt Paste. It's more expensive that what it'a next to on the shelf at Targ.et or WalMa.rt, but worked better.

Then I did something else, and it's worked great since . . . I don't use a wet wipe if Lil Pumpkin has only peed. I mean, c'mon, those super-duper absorbent diapers wick away the moisture anyways?! And she seems to be changed every 2-3 hours anyways. I now only use a wipe if its poo-poo in the diaper. And then I swear I use 5, LOL.

Here's another thing, and I am sure this will sound crazy, too . . . I think it helps to figure out what kind of wipe you need for your kid's poop. For example, if you have a kid with dry, clumpy poo-poo (like mine usually produces), then you need a more moist kind of wipe. If the kid has runny, wet poo-poo most of the time, then a less moist wipe is called for. I found that Sam's Club brand is good for the poop I deal with, and Targ.et wipes are really light on moisture, thus good if you have a kid with runny, wet poop.

I know, I know, it's crazy . . . but I haven't used Butt Paste in 5 months since I started doing things this way.

Anonymous said...

Aquaphor. I swear by it.

Slather her poor little butt down with a good thick layer and it will protect her from urine long enough to heal. (Also makes the poo easier to wipe off.) And once the rash is cleared up, keep using the Aquaphor and she won't have diaper rash again.

You might want to try some homemade wipes if her rash is really bad. Regular wipes might sting and irritate her more. There are recipes online for homemade wipes--and I know you're sleep deprived, so here's the link for you:

http://www.recipezaar.com/Homemade-Wipes-81091

I hope you get a good night's sleep! A full FOUR hours. :)

when you change her diapers, use a blowdryer (on the cool setting) to blowdry her bum. then use ORIGINAL desitin (as someone else mentioned) Slather it on (it protects from any new damage which allows the rash to heal). We did this with a bloody rash and it disappeared in 3 days. We thought the people who told us about the blowdryer were crazy. But then we heard it from 3 different people. Now you've heard it from us.

Hey,
I have three boys and a little bit different advice. While I do love Boudreaux's Butt Paste when my boys got really severe diaper rash their aunt, a pharmacisit, gave me domeboro astrigant packages. You can get them at any pharmacy just ask they usually keep them in back. I mix one packet with a half a cup of warm water, soak some sterile guaze pads in the solution until it is completely gone, place this in a loose diaper covering the rash with the pads, leave on for thirty mintues or so longer will not hurt and then apply a diaper rash cream. I hope this helps

Candice said...

I agree...aquaphor. It works on everything- chapped butt, face, cradle cap. Instead of having medication which is supposed to help, but just seems to burn the bejesus out of little baby butts, it just soothes and protects so the baby can heal. If it doesn't work, you can use it for a multitude of other things.

Poor Olivia....and Mommy and Daddy. I know how hard it is to watch them so uncomfortable! :(

My bean had a few killer diaper rashes. We finally found the perfect formula for him.

Soak the butt in warm water
Let the butt dry completely
Cover the butt in Dr. Smiths (expensive but freaking awesome)
Then, liberally apply bag balm over the top. The two layers worked wonders for us. Cleared up in about two days.

Good luck.

Caldesene Powder is amazing. It is a medicated powder that used to be prescription back in 1967 when my Mom used it on me. Thank the Lord it is available on shelves in most drugstores. It is the only stuff I used with both of my kids, my Mom used on her 4 and the choice for my sister's and their 8 kids total. Pastes and creams keep the bottom moist, therefore increasing the amount of time it takes for the skin to heal. Caldesene coats the tiny hiney (instead of sprinkling on baby directly I added it to diaper before hand)it actually repels liquids from the skin. Both of my kids could have a soaked diaper but their skin would still be powdered and dry. This stuff is not cheap, about $5 a bottle but it is sooo worth it. I love the way this stuff smells and it doesn't irritate even raw skin. If you can't find the stuff where you live let me know and I will be happy to buy you a bottle and send it to you, that is how much faith I have in this stuff. Good luck and keep loving on that sweet baby girl. :)

Oye, I hear you on the formula price! We've been feeding twins on the high-end Similac stuff for almost a year (Darn their steak and lobster palettes). Around here, formula is locked up behind glass cases and the cashiers have to get it for you when you bring a tag up to the register. Apparently it's high on the frequently-stolen list. If they'd lower the price, perhaps people could afford it!

P.S. - Your pediatrician should be able to hook you up with formula samples and/or coupons at each visit. It doesn't take away the whole pain, but it helps!

My daughter had awful bleeding diaper rash on several occasions. Our doc gave us a script for a topical steroid and also Mercy Butt Cream...the stuff is amazing! Also, instead of using diaper wipes switch to warm wash cloths for a bit. A lot of the wipes have just enough alcohol in them that it burns the little rumps. Oh one more thing...give her a bath in baking soda. That seems to help with the burn. You could also use liquid Maloxx to help the burn. Just put some on a cotton ball and dab it on her bottom! Hope that helps!

Mylanta. Sounds stupid, but my little guy had some wicked ones. I also started using a little hand fan (like they sell at amusement parks and drug stores) to dry his tush after cleaning. Then I would use cotton balls to dab the liquid mylanta (or really any other liquid antacid) over the area and dry it with the fan. Leave diaperless as long as possible. Desitin and Burt's Bees worked good for me for prevention. Sadly, i learned that once I thought it was gone and laid off using diaper cream, it usually came back. My guy is 2 and a half now and I still use the desitin and burt's bees alternately.

I know everyone thus far has told you what they absolutely SWEAR by but...what the hell, I absolutely swear by Burt's Bees Baby Bee Diaper cream. It doesn't smell nasty. It feels good the skin. If it is a yeast rash, it's not going to go away unless you treat the yeast...why the ped prescribed nystatin. Save some money, usually the generic for Lotramin(yes, the athletes foot cream) will work just as well to treat yeast.

First, toss the commercial wipes. Warm water and a soft cotton cloth will be less irritating to baby's skin. Make sure her bottom is dry before you apply anything. Dry as in when my DD had a really bad rash, I would use a blow dryer on warm to dry her as much as possible.

If it's yeast, apply a yeast cream, nystatin or generic lotramin followed by a thick layer triple paste or something thick like that. Side note, I don't really reccomend Desitin as that stuff is like glue and a pia to remove.

DD had a horrid rash that lasted for over a month. Started off as yeast, but I wanted to make sure it was gone and kept applying all the creams every diaper change which according to ped kept her red. We laid off on the creams and used plain cornstarch with lots of naked baby time.

She's rash free now. I've found alternating cornstratch and diaper cream works best. Currently I use Aquaphor or Aveeno cream after she poops during the day and for her night time diaper. The rest of the time I use cornstartch. Works like a charm. Hope Olvia's bottom gets better.

A friend of mine at work had a baby with horrendous diaper rash and her pediatrician said to dab Maalox on it with a cotton ball and once it dried seal it with Aquaphor (which is amazing stuff as far as I'm concerned). Good luck!

3 things:

1. Buy generic formula. You are throwing away money on Similac - seriously. Go to walmart, buy their version and if it works well, then buy it in bulk at Sam's (it's the same stuff just different can) If you don't have a Sam's membership, I'll go with you and you can buy it off mine.

2. I can't believe I forgot to recomment Lansinoh. If you have a tube from when you were trying BF'ing, put that on Olivia's tush!!! It's the most soothing thing out there - even more than Triple Paste (which you know I love). I see everyone here likes the Butt Paste. I have a tube of it if you want to try it - we found it totally worthless for Simone.

3. I'm waiting for Genevieve to be up between 1-3 as well. That was Simone's fave time to party. I think one the G-Unit starts to wake up more, she and Olivia can party together and we can have late night phone calls to one another LOL.

*HUGS* Hang in there babe!!!

I realise you've had a zillion suggestions already, but I don't think anyone mentioned Lucas' PawPaw Ointment. I'm not sure if it's available over there, but here is the link: http://www.lucaspapaw.com.au/

I've never actually used it myself as Josiah rarely had nappy rash, and when he did I just used the samples of various creams I had. But I have heard many people rave about this stuff, and it can also be used as a lip balm and for all sorts of cuts, rashes and stings.

Burt's Bees is by far the best. Both of my daughters have had horrible rashes and that is the only ointment that helped. Over the years we have tried every oitnment, cream, paste and concoction out there. We even tried the Maalox, Aquaphor, and anit-fungal mixture with no luck.

Good luck!

Poor little girl, and poor sleepy mommy! I hope the diaper rash clears up soon.

Triple Paste. No doubt. We had a little one with shiny awful rash....on a road trip. Triple Paste cleared it up in 2 days.

I asked my dermatologist for you on Friday, and she said to take Olivia to your dermatologist rather than the pediatrician, because they have more experience with tricky skin problems than pediatricians. Once the peditrician gives you the five tricks in their bag, they're out. She said plain vaseline in the meantime, and to try changing her formula. It's possible she's allergic to something in it.

I've got nothing. My 4 day old peanut boy refuses to poop. Or pee really. In fact he's perfectly content just eating and not sending it out the other end. So I might need diaper rash advice in like 2 years or something. xoxo

Wow, I was nervous about mentioning Boudreaux's Butt Paste, because it sounds crazy, yes? But when the first THREE commenters already mentioned it? I'll just chime in and add my 2 cents. Try it! :)

Aquaphor is a godsend in our house. It works really quickly.

Butt Paste works OK but with a newborn, we had great success with Aquaphor. Good luck!

Try mixing maloxx and cornstarch. crazy sounding I know, but it does work.

All formulas are subject to the same standards of the FDA so go with a generic and save yourself some cash. Seriously, exactly the same.

You may want to consider that she has an allergy to something in the formula, or the milk base itself.

Could also be the diapers themselves. I second the cloth, if even temporarily.

The title of your post sent me here. I am so sorry to hear about the diaper rash and unfortunately I dont have any advice.

Leave it open to air! Let Olivia romp around diaperless for a few hours to help it heal. It works.

My son only had one diaper rash and Maalox cleared it up. The pediatrician said to give it a try. The antacid worked the same way on the kiddo's bottom. It neutralized the acid from the poop and allowed his skin to heal. I applied it with a cotton ball at every change. Started to heal immediately.

I'm going to second (or third or fourth) the corn starch. It is cheap and helps dry and cool the skin. We just dust it on with our fingers so that we can get in cute fat rolls.

Now...I have 3 boys, and I LOVE Desitin...it clears up within a day (well, it did for the twins)

Hi, My son had terrible nappy rash when he was a newborn. After trial and error i found the solution was to wash and pat dry his bum and then to let him wriggle around naked on a towel for a while to let the air get to that sweet little bum. If that fails then i used "Bepanthen" which is the only cream that worked with my sons sensitive skin. We are in the UK but i am sure you can get it over there.

another vote for butt paste, and trust me......switch to TARGET brand formula! same ingredients and 1/2 the price! (plus - i am sure you are there all the time anyway!)

I know this is late, but I have 5-month-old triplet girls and am busy. Still, we rotate diaper rash cream (any kind, really) with nystatin and baby powder. So diaper change #1 gets cream, then #2 nystatin, and #3 gets powder. Adding the baby powder helps a whole lot. It keeps everything dry for a while, which is important in curing the rash...and our girls have had some bad rashes. Good luck!

Hey there, not sure if I'm in time to help but I'm a Veterinary Technician with a 24 month old, 9 month old and a little one due in september...my 2 year old has sufferd from hideous butt destroying diaper rashes as well and we have tried everything to no avail...prescription, no prescription, olive oil etc...a few months ago I got a shipment of Bag Balm that was damaged. We use the stuff on wounds, cows utters, and as a general antiseptic. brought it home because I was out of budros's. I placed the ointment on my 2yr old's fiery tush and the next morning HIS WHOLE BUTT was immaculate, soft and rash free!!!! Tried it again on about a half dozen other occasions and it this stuff is truly miracolous. One application clears even the most hideous looking diaper rash. Try it and don't hesitate to contact me to let me know your success story @ marcougge@gmail.com thanks and good luck

Hi Jen!

Funny story...

I totally follow your blog in my google reader. Love your blog, love you, you are hilarious.

So today I was doing a random google search on "newlun realty". For whatever reason, I clicked on 'images' instead of 'web'. As I was quickly scrolling through, I came across your picture. I thought to myself, 'hey, there is that one girl from that funny blog.' When I clicked on your picture, it brought me to this post. Not sure why this post, and I'm not sure what your picture has to do with newlun realty, but I thought it was a pretty random coincidence.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Cheers!
