G is for Green beans (and also, Gag.)

We got the OK to start solids.
Happy O last week, sitting in her bumbo...

Hmmm...what the hell?!

nom...nom...nom...
YUMZ GIMMEH MORE!

Rice cereal was a big hit.

Green beans?

Not.So.Much.

Yum! More Rice Cereal! Ahhhhhhh.....

Wait...this isn't right...

WHAT HAVE YOU DUNZ?!!! HATE GAG VOMIT WOE!!!!!!

I made it up to her the next day with some delicious oatmeal. She was too pissed to smile, though.

Alright...maybe just one smile. For Daddy.

Mommy is an evil vegetable humper.

I always liked sneaking in a mouthful of whatever my kids didn't like when they weren't suspecting it...just so I could see those funny faces again. :) Hey I gotta find SOMETHING rewarding in the daily grind, right!?!

Lol, such cute pics!

I used to have to mix my sons veggies with fruit. Just enough to take the apparently wretched green taste out of them. Or I would mix it into the cereal.

Adorable, yummy pictures! You should have seen the look on Oscar's face when I gave him some avocado. He LOVES rice cereal, pears, and bananas. Haven't tried green beans yet.

My daughter hated the rice cereal and any green veges. especially green beans, so I mixed veges. The first time I gave her solids it was sweet potatoes and of course she loved it, but she hated the rice so I mixed the rice with the sweet potatoes and been doing it ever since. Then a lady at WIC (Women,Infants, and Children) said I need to be giving her green veges. too and to mix them with some of the sweeter veges. like sweet potatoes or squash. So the first time I gave her green beans I mixed it with the rice and the sweet potatoes and she had no complaints. If you start with squash, then sweet potatoes she will eat them by its self, then after you know she's not allergic add in the nasty green veges. I can almost guarantee she will not give any more icky faces.

Oh she did not like the green beans at all! Too funny! Did you tell her they're better slathered in butter?

So cute!!! My little girl isn't making fun faces. I have ben let down a bit - so thanks for the fun pictures. (she just keeps her lips locked when she doesn't like something) I really want to comment on the navy blue outfit....is it a carter's one with white polka dots and I think a bee on it? Charlotte has the same one - and whenever she wears it she (which feels like me) gets lots of compliments!

The green beans did not go over well in my house either. She loved all the fruits and most of the vegetables, but the green beans were not good.

This is a great series of pictures! Big fan of the rice cereal but the green beans really didn't go over well, did they? Thanks for sharing :)

Nico HATED green beans too...I'd start off with squash/sweet potatos. Nico will now eat whole green beans, but he hated them pureed. Olivia is adorable as always!

Those facial expressions are hilarious! So cute.

My Gamma is the opposite. He hates rice cereal. Loves squash and broccoli. He was just okay with peaches. I'm going to try pears next.

She is so cute!

That's funny stuff. She is one expressive little girl. Y'all have me laughing so hard my eyes are watering. She's adorable, and you're hilarious.

i was directed over to your blog by another blogger. :) your girl is precious!

my baby did the same thing....with bananas! he loves his veggies and is not a big fan of fruits...this leads me to believe he is not really my child. :)

Must. Steal. Bahbee. Cause I would never feed her veggies. Too bad her Mom is a dirty hippie who forces her child to eat green beans. (And also, those cereals taste like ass.... GAG)

In the Green bean picture underneath 'wait, this isn't right', she looks like Yoda, telling Luke Skywalker that he's doing it wrong.
...Wait, is it rude to tell someone their cute baby looks like Yoda? Crap. I only mean that in a funny way. Oh well. Those pictures are hilarious.

I swear that face screams "you eat it first be otch"!!!!
My kids didn't like baby food much, I had to just mush up what we ate and that included seasoning it. But w/Miss Thang's tender system I would keep it simple schweetie!!!
Here's to wishing you no "Ass of Fire" from all the solids!!!
HUGS....

bwahahaha! i love the first pic after she had the green beans! that is awesome!

Oh, that face she made with the beans was awesome. Meanwhile, you're thinking, "Eat the beans! They're way cheaper than the super-formula!"

At least she didn't laugh while eating the rice cereal, reducing her face to a molten volcano of baby food...

Holy cow how cute is she!!?!

I find that if I switch foods in one meal/sitting, my baby hates the second thing. Always. So now I just stick with one flavor per meal and he does fine. Even eats the stuff that he spit out when it was "second course." Good luck! She's such a cutie.

Did your doctor tell you to wait 3-4 days to check for allergies?
