Uterus of doom FTW!

Blood pressure: 158/104
Protein: All up in my pee
Pitting Edema: indeedy

In the hospital for monitoring. I put my gown on backwards and almost had an inappropriate nudity situation. One of my ribs is popped out and the prospect of narcotics is making me hot and bothered. I have to pee in a jug.

Should be getting steroids soon to help develop the babies lungs. You know, FOR DELIVERY THIS WEEK?!

Here we go.

Hang in there! I had my girls at 33 weeks (due to pre-e) and they did great! After 2 1/2 & 3 1/2 weeks in the NICU, they came home healthy and happy (and on the perfect schedule!) What a Happy New Year for y'all!

I hope your baybees are healthy and strong! Take Care, and get all the rest you can while in the hospital because once those babies are home, you won't see rest for a while, I was in the same situation with a 2 yr old and a newborn twins. I miss those days

So glad you made it this far, anyway: SO much better than 26 weeks. Also, your thankles made me wince, my hat is off to you for suffering through the physical strains of carrying twins. And I'm very excited to hear news of the arrival of your little ones! Lots of good wishes to you and them.

As scary as it is...everything will be ok. My girls were born at 29 weeks (with steroids) and made it home in 48 days...so your girls will surely have less than in the NICU than mine. My girls are healthy as can be 17 month olds now and you would never guess they were preemies! Stay strong!

Well nothing says "fun" like peeing in a jug, but that's how I like to roll too when I was preggo!

I am also glad to see that others get all crazy happy giddy at the prospect of narcotics. Hell this is the one time that crap is legal-I say bring it on!!!! Many times I told the nurse fentynl for everyone in the room! She liked us a lot cause we kept our sense of humor, that and we brought cupcakes for everyone. There is always a party w/drugs and cupcakes no matter what the situation! But I digress...

Thinking of you all like crazy these days. Keep positive.

Exciting and scary. But, looking on the bright side, if your cuties are born by midnight on Friday, you'll get an extra $2K in child tax credits for 2010. That's tax planning!

Good luck! Our twins were born at 31 weeks and they are now thriving 19 month olds. We got two rounds of steroids in me before they couldn't stop delivery anymore two days later. I don't think the second round of steroids had been in that long though. They were in the NICU for a few weeks before we could bring them home. I'll be praying for you.

Thinking about you and the hog baby and the tiny twin! Best of luck, I was able to make it another month after I went in the hospital for 4 days with pre-e.

Thinking of you and your babies. Sounds like lots of good stories in pp.....you rocked it out by making it this far.

I had pre-eclampsia too and ended up delivering my twins at 34 weeks. Peeing in a jug was the worst!
After they took my jug away (to measure it?! not sure what they need it for) the nurse brought me another one and I swear to God she said I had to keep peeing in the jug. So I did, for like 2 more days until I got the catheter (which became my new best friend. Not having to get up to pee at night.. or at all was AMAZING). The doctor was all like "why are you still peeing in the jug, you don't need to anymore" and it turned out I peed in the jug for two extra days for no reason. True story.
Good luck with your munchkins. I will be checking your blog like a maniac for updates!

So sorry that it's happening early than you hoped, but on the bright side you get two new adorable babies. (And a nice tax deduction?)

I'll be thinking of you and the whole family.

Good luck!

Holy freaking crap! Thinking about having my babies on time in less than two months is already giving me hives. If I were to have them THIS WEEK? I would probably have to be awakened with smelling salts every five minutes.
Good luck to you, my friend. I'm totally excited to see your new girls, and on the upside of things- at least they will already be on a schedule from the NICU when you take them home. It's kind of scary, but I know you'll do great!

Oh the pee jug. So sorry. You have done a GREAT job! Your ute of doom has NOT lived up to its name. 32weeks with all your swelling and scariness is no small feat! Thinking of you, your husband and ALL of your girls for a safe and healthy delivery. Go Jen go, go babies go!

My twin brother and sister were born 2 months early almost 28 years ago (back when NICUs were located in caves and run by woolly mammoths) and they did fabulously. Brother came home after only 2 weeks and sister about 4 weeks. I'm sure hog baby and tiny twin will do fine. What a lovely passel of girls you will soon have!
