Dear Duggars,
Am annoyed by you ignoring the perfectly acceptable other 25 letters of the alphabet. K's feelings are particularly hurt, as it is so close to J. Enough already.

OMG! LOL! I love you Jen!

J-J-J Jeeeezz!

That is so freakin' unfair!

God just loves them better, I guess. (hurl)

I'm reading Bitter is the New Black - per your recommendation. I just started tonight. It may be December before I finish - what can I say, I'm a little ADHD. But thanks for the idea. I'm always looking for a good, funny read. And right now I need to laugh.

Ha ha, I thought the same thing when I saw them on the Today Show. 18 kids, are you freaking kidding me?

From older Dugger Children to Parents;
Would you two quit F*cking like rabbits, we are tired of taking care of all these kids!
Sincerely,
J,J,J,J,J,J,J & J

Totally agree! I just can't fathom the possibility of being so fertile! They are gonna run out of J names.

Surprisingly, I am not nearly as annoyed by the Duggars, who view their many children as a blessing from God, as I am by the women out there who only have one or two kids and view them as a burden and won't take care of them properly. The Duggars are a little too sickeningly sweet for me, but still infinitely better than the crackhead who leaves her one baby at home alone while she's out turning tricks to support her habit. Gimme the Duggars any day.

Haha -- indeed. As gross as they are, and as much as they make me scream as an infertile, I do find it interesting how much the public in general seems to be skewering them for their "irresponsibility" for having such a large brood. Technically, if I support a woman's right to choose, a couple's right to create the family of their dreams as they want -- I guess I gotta tip my hat to them, too?

Dear Michelle,

I am exhausted and may just fall out after the next one. Please give me a break.

Sincerely,
Your uterus

Though with a husband named Jim-Bob, who could really expect any less of them?
Your blog cracks me up... a fellow "infertile" friend found it and shared it with me... your musings are hysterical :)
I just started blogging, myself. You're welcome to check it out!
Thanks for bringing some humor into our situation- sometimes I think we all desperately need it.

In my evil little heart I actually hoped the announcement was that they were getting a divorce. (but that's probably as against their religion as birth control)

Ok, I have to post because all the rude comments annoy me. I happen to know the Duggar's quite well, they are my husbands cousins. No, we do not have a lot of kids, as of right now we have zero.

I have to admit when my husband (then bf) told me about them, I was quite surprised, but on the other hand a big family isn't anything abnormal to me (my grandmother was one of 21, and my dad was one of 14).
I have gotten to know the Duggar's over the last 8 plus years and the a truly great people, that happen to have a lot of kids. The kids are all normal, smart, healthy, happy, active kids. The kids are well behaved (which in todays world is sometimes hard to find), they are responsible and respectful.

I would hope that you all would not judge people that you do not know. If you wish to have a good honest opinion of them, why not try to get to know them. TV all depicts a small portion of their life.

I detest the Duggars and their disgusting baby worshiping tactics. These people are producing a hot beef injection of stupid people into the already poor quality genetic pool in their area. What happened to all of their side burns, who starts shaving above their ear anyway, seriously. These people are f***ing repulsive. I hope that momma Duggars vagina explodes like blown out tire on the freeway and the doctors have to close it up for good. Jim Bob must like it sloppy.

My only concern with the Duggars are the older children. In most pictures you see the older girls caring the the babys, has anyone asked them if they wanted another baby to take care of. My oldest daughter leaves with her father who has 10 kids by 3 women and she ends up caring for everyone of them. She tells me everyday she will never give me grandkids because she is tired of taking care of babies. She is 16 now and this started when she was 11 having to take care of all the kids, it breaks my heart everytime I think of how she feels..maybe the Duggars should poll their older girls and she how they feel about diapers, dressing their siblings, and cooking..

I am a proud Christian who has been struggling with infertility for almost 5 years. It just really bothers me how people on here can talk so nastily about a family that loves God, loves each and every one of their children, cares for them all, DEBT-FREE, and has done absolutely nothing wrong. They aren't on welfare, they aren't putting their kids on the streets, so someone please tell me, WHAT IS SO WRONG ABOUT THEM LETTING GOD BLESS THEM WITH KIDS? Back in the days before birth control, people had this many kids. I just think that infertilty has turned some of you bitter and evil. I am going through it, but I am not nasty like you guys are. Quit being so jealous! It's disgusting. Shame on you.

What makes them freaks? Because they worship God openly and unashamedly? Because they actually support all of their kids? Who cares how many they have? It's really none of your business. Now why don't you worry about the mothers who get on welfare because they are too lazy to work?? Or the ones that murder their kids? Or how about the ones that ABORT their babies? Now THAT is disgusting. There is nothing disgusting about the Duggars. GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

if you TRULY dislike the Duggars, then stop reading about them, watching them on TV, and talking/writing about them. people also need to stop spouting off ignorant comments like "we are taking care of their kids" etc when they don't even know what they're talking about.
the Duggar's should have a special about how they don't like being talked about so rudely by people who live lifestyles they don't agree with. ONLY they are better then that. grow up.

Anonymous said...

I just read that the Duggar's just introduced yet another J-named child into this world. I guess I should say congrats.... But just the thought of them claiming God is giving them the chance to have all these children, and they are going to let God "let them know" when to stop is wrong. Because the way I see it is, If your doing this the "Godly way" Michelle Duggar should have died already from childbirth. I'm not saying she should die, and that's a horrible thing to put on anyone. But, God didn't tell her to have a c-section. That was the decision of man. If God wanted her to die during childbirth, that the way it should have been. The way I see it that's just being 2-faced on your beliefs and putting things in Gods hands.

Dear Duggars,

Is your sex life pretty much like throwing a hot dog through a cave nowadays?!

I love everyone's anti-Duggard comments! I found this page by google-ing "the duggard's are gross"
I am especially offended by her hair and blue or green blouse.

I don't watch the show, I don't know that much about them except they apparently believe humans are meant to raise litters. What bothers me the most is the glorification/freak show aspect that popular culture likes to portray. On one hand pop culture glorifies this breeding mentality by featuring octo-moms, Duggars, Kate and John types on television shows, paying them exorbitant amounts of money for being irresponsible. On the other hand pop culture watches to make fun of and gawk at the bizarreness of these "birth-worshipers." Either way the children born in this circus suffer and we, as a society pay the greatest price. For those who don't think it is irresponsible to have such large families I implore you to Google "zero population growth." I don't care if they aren't using government money or that families in past eras had large broods-the rates of maternal/infant mortality were also much higher! I think the best thing we can do is ignore these families and refuse to participate in the circus.

Nobody...absolutely nobody knows anything about the truth that actually goes on in this household except for those actually living in this environment (and this also applies to close relatives as well...close realtives only see what the parents "choose" to project to the outside world). I would hope the truth is as we see it, but I doubt that it truly is. Why? Because I am the eldest from a family of eleven. I never had a childhood, was expected to think and act like an adult at an early age, and had to portray my parent's "delusion" to outsiders, that's why! I have only viewed the Duggard's reality show a few times, and that certainly was a few times too many for me.

Ok, what's wrong with someone having 19 kids? What's it to you? God has blessed me, and I am expecting my first...but if He chooses to bless me with 18 more I will gladly accept. Who are you to judge what's right for me? Why should you care how many kids they have and what their names are??? Grow up and mind your own business. They are not freaks, they are a normal family. you infertile ladies should be tickled pink that Mrs. Duggar has been able to have so many! God doesn't love them any more than He loves you or me, but they have proven that they will raise their children the right way...that pleases God.

I love how this post was written in 2008, but gets anon hate comments every time the Duggars are in the news.

Thanks for the page views, Duggar lovers! Have 25 kids if you want, it's your vagina. Just don't expect everyone to think it's amazing.

How could someone say they truly hate the duggars??? Do you hate the Smiths, the Joneses, and the Browns too? If you're gonna be hatin, take it somewhere else

Anonymous said...

Well, this post should be getting more Duggar's fans again, considering they are in the news again! I do have to point out for all of you defenders of how back in the old days families were big like this. Um yeah... and back in the old days the world wasn't over populated. Also I love how religious people say if god allows them. God has nothing to do with Jim Bob getting horny!
